The Monitoring of Post Hysterectomy Vaginal Residuum with B-ultrasonographic and Clinical Detections

Abstract: To investigate the healing of pelvic residuum after hysterectomy for patients with benign diseases , sixty three cases were monitored by pelvic examination and B-ultrasound scan for one year. In 23.4% of 47 cases, no any pelvic mass could be feet.In 46.8% of them, pelvic mass was detected but disappeared within 1 year. In 29.8% pelvic mass could be found which still existed after 1 year. In 20%(11/55)of patients with their ovaries preserved cystic enlargement was found, which disappeared within half year. Conclusion: The pelvic examination combined with B ultrasonography was very useful approaches in monitoring the pelvic residual healing.
