The Effect of Chinese Lovastatin on Essential Hypercholesterolemia

Abstract: Fifty-eight patients with essential hypercholesterolemia(TC≥5.98 mmol/L)were treated with Chinese lovastatin and American lovastatin(MSD)by means of randomized double blind placebo-controlled clinical trials. The results showed that Chinese lovastatin decreased TC, LDL-C in the same manner as American lovastatin(MSD)within 1～2 month. Both of them had mild side-effects.
