Combined Spinal epidural Anesthesia for Renal Homotransplantation

Abstract: To explore whether combined spinal epidural anesthesia (CSEA) applies to renal homotransplantation. Forty four patients undergoing renal homotransplantation were ad mitted to this study.In 22 patients used CSEA (group A), while the other 22 patients used continuous epidural anesthesia as control (group B).Group A had much more rapid than group B(P< 0.01).The two groups had similar influence on cardiovascular system (P> 0.05).Furthermore, no complain of the incidence of postdural puncture headache in the group A. The results showed that CSEAis one of safety and reliable anesthesia for renal homotransplantation.
