Effect of Octreotide on Stress Ulcer with Brain Damage

Abstract: Octreotide is a long-acting synthesized eight-peptide release suppressant of growth hormone and has an effective stypticity for stress ulcerous bleeding due to brain damage including brain external injury, brain operation and acute cerebrovascular illness. The comparative observation was carried out between the treatment group and control group. The time for blood stanch was reduced, and so was the toxic side-effect.
