Abstract:

Objective To investigate the clinical value of prenatal diagnosis of fetal Ebstein anomaly by echocardiography. Methods Retrospective analyses of 2D-heart views and CDFI(color Doppler flow image) as well as the follow-up findings were made in 5 cases with fetal Ebstein anomaly. Results 5 cases fetal Ebstein anomaly were proved by autopsy; The image features were enlarged right atrium and downward displacement of tricuspid valve in the right ventricle. The deformed tricuspid valve allows a large amount of blood to regurgitate from the right ventricle to the right atrium when the right ventricle contracts. Conclusion echocardiography has very important clinical value in diagnosis of fetal Ebstein anomaly.
