Abstract: The Faculty of Gastroenterology afflicted to Capital Medical University was founded in 2002 consisting of gastroenterology and hepatology departments from Beijing Friendship Hospital, Beijing Digestive Disease Center and other 11 gasteroenterolgy departments from Capital Medical University. Being one of the national key disciplines, the faculty has established three main clinical and research branches as endoscopic minimallyinvasive treatment of digestive diseases, diagnosis and treatment of liver fibrosis/cirrhosis and the mechanisms and interventions of early cancers in digestive tract.
