Abstract: Based on the development of Beijing Children's Hospital during the last few years, this paper focused on how to improve the construction of an academic hospital from the following points: ① Building discipline orientation, and promoting key discipline and key laboratory construction. ② Completing hospital research administration system and prompting mechanism, encourage research interest. ③ Accumulateing the epidemiological data of the major diseases in children, and construct clinical resource database. ④ Using the opportunity to develop the key disciplines, intensify the development of research staff. ⑤ Serving the society and devote to the children’s health.
