Abstract:

A case of ruptured right aortic valve leaflet proven fay surgical operation was reported. Biopsy of this valve leaflet disclosed a rheumatic origin. The following M—mode echocardiographic manifestations were noticed: 1. There appeared a fluttering and anteriorly moving lineal echo in the aortic lumen during systole; 2. There was a fluttering lineal echo in the aortic lumen during diastole; 3. Afluttering lineal echo appeared in the left ventricular outflow tract during diastole and disappeared during systole.
