Abstract: The pathologic data of 22 cases with primary carcinoma of the ureterfrom 1963 to 1982 were reviewed.The prognosis varied with the stagingand grading of the primary tumor and the complicating carcinomas inother sites of the urinary tract.In our experiences,the samehistopathologie features of the multiple urothelial carcinoma and themultifocal appearance of the abnormal epithelium around cancerous lesionsupported the multieentric theory for the genesis of the urothelialcarcinoma and emphasized the importance of follow-up after operation.
