Abstract: The finding of our studies showed that Grapevine Injection (GI)could inhibit the stretching response induced by acetic acid, increasethe pain threshold of electrical and thermal stimulation when it wasgiven to mice.Microdose injection of GI into the ventricles of brain ofmice resulted in significant increase of pain threshold, which testifiedthe site of analgesic effect of GI might be in the central nervous system.some other experiments confirmed that the analgesic effect of GI was notrelative to the morphine receptors, but was relative to the monoamine receptors.
