Abstract: To study the relations between arrhythmia and left ventricle hypertrophy(LVH)in patients with essential hypertension, we examined 90 patients with essential hypertension by 24 h dynamic electro-cardiogram and echocardiogram, and analyzed the relations between arrhythmia and LVH and myocardium ischemia. Out of the 90 patients, 47(52.2%)were found suffering ventricular arrhythmia and 61(67.8%)were found suffering atrial arrhythmia. The incidence rate of atrial arrhythmia was higher than ventricular arrhythmia. The incidence rate of ventricular arrhythmia among patients with LVH was evidently higher than that among patients without LVH. The incidence rate of ventricular arrhythmia among patients suffering hypertention with the change of ST-T was evidently higher than that among patients suffering hypertention without the change of ST-T. The incidence rate of hypertensive arrhythmia is close related to LVH.
