Abstract: To observe the role of the change of serum collagen Ⅳ to the dysfunction of renal disease. 34 patients with chronic glomerulonephritis were selected, serum collagen Ⅳ were tested with the radioimmunoassay method and compared with normal controls.t the level of serum CⅣ in chronic glomerulonephritis group increased markedly compared with controls 〔(401.46±118.53)μg/L vs(64.32±42.54)μg/L, P<0.01〕, and accompanied with positive relation to serum and urinary β2-MG, SCr(r=0.697, 0.644, 0.523, respectively, P<0.01), and negative relation to GFR(r=-0.701, P<0.01). The change of the serum CⅣ may be one of the markers for clinical monitor and evaluating the activity of the renal disease.
