Abstract: The aim was to explore the impact of HCV infection to effect of HAART in HIV/AIDS patients.Patients were divided into two groups, HIV/HCV co-infection group and the group of HIV infection alone.Comparisons of the two groups were made on the change of immune function and HIV viral load at the points of pre-cure, month 3, month 6.There were no significant differences in immune function and HIV viral load at three points above between HIV/HCV co-infection and HIV alone(P> 0.05).But significant differences were found in the change of immune function from pre-cure to month 6.The rising of CD4+T was (47.87±48.42)cells/μL in HIV/HCV co-infection group, but (146.12±88.29)cells/μL in HIV infection alone (P=0.017).After cure of HAART the reconstruction of immune function in HIV/HCV co-infection patients is inferior to patients with HIV infection alone.

Key words: HIV virus, hepatitis Cvirus, CD4+ Tcell, immune reconstruction
