Abstract: Objective To study the protective effect of Naoxueshu in the intracerebral hemorrhage in rats and its effects on the coagulation. Methods Totally 21 rats were injected with type Ⅳ collagenase were randomly divided into 3 groups, group A, group B and the control group. Group A and B were respectively given high and low concentration of Naoxueshu. We recorded the weight and assessed neurological function before sacrificing the rats at 24 hours, 48 hours, and 72 hours, and tested the coagulation parameters finally. Results The weight significantly increased at 24 h compared with that at the 72 h in group A and B (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the weights significantly increased in group B at 72 h (P<0.05). The neurological function scores in group B were significantly decreased at 24 h, 48 h and 72 h (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) and International Normalized Ratio (INR) significantly decreased in group B (P<0.05).Conclusion Naoxueshu could improve the weights and the neurological defects in the acute phase of intracerebral hemorrhage in rats, the mechanism maybe associated with its coagulation function.
