Abstract: The 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine is awarded jointly to Tu Youyou, etc three scientists for their discoveries concerning a novel therapy against malaria and infections caused by roundworm parasites. Tu's outstanding contribution is for her discovery of the new anti-malarial drugs—artemisinin and dihydroartemisinin
