Abstract: The relationships between the survival of adrenal medulla tissue after freezing and some factors were investigated. The factorsin clude freezing mediums, freezing rates, the volumes of tissue, protective agents, storing Periods and the permissible intervial from animal death to freezing. It is proved that the freezing rates, freezing mediums and protective agents are closely related with the survival of frozen-stored adrenal medulla tissue. The best result can be obtained by using amniotic fluid as freezing medium, and DMSO as protective agent for freezing, with the freezing rate of-1~-2℃per minute. This study provides the reference data for the freezing and storage of adrenal medulla tissue.
