Distribution of the Rat Ventricular Atrial Natriuretic Factor and Correlation with Months

Abstract: Female wistar rats were segregated into 5 groups (1, 8, 6, 10, 21months), the 21-month group was taken as ageing rats. Myocardial homogenates were prepared. The ventricular ANF levels in different parts of the myocardium were measured by RIA, As a result, ANF has a characteristic distribution in different parts of the ventricle. There is a negative correlation between the intraval-ventricular ANF and months. The experiment suggests that as age increases, the cardiac some important hormonal function diminishes during the heart ageing.
