L-Form Staphylococcus Aureus Infection of Ascites Fluid in Patients with Hepatocirrhosis due to Hepatitis B

Abstract: Using L-type broth and L-type solid medium, and the modified klieneberger method, ascites fluid which were negative in conventional culture. Six cases were studied in all, and L-type staphylococcus aureus were cultured in two cases The results suggests that the possibility of L-form bacterial infection in such cases must be taken into consideration.
