Abstract: The components of soluble antigen of Paragonimus vestermani(PwA)were analysed with immuno-electrophoresis(IE),Sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel eleetrophoresis (SDS-PAGE),and western blot. Two broad and distinct bands only were detected in IE. 29 protein bands were found to be present when adult worm homogenates were subjected to SDS-PAGE analysis, and their molecular weights ranged from 90.0~6.0 kD.The molecular weight of the 10 most prominent protein bands was corresponeded to 57,53,49.5,46, 42,30,27,25,14 and 13 kD respectively. The western blot examination of PwA with sera of proven cases of paragonimiasis revealed 3 bands, whose protein molecular weights were 25, 13,and 8 kD respectively.
