Abstract: The method of coupled peroxidatic oxidation was proved to be prior to the tetazolium salts one is showing the clarity of the somata, process and fibre courses of monoamine oxi-dase(MAO)-contining positive neruons in the cental nerous system. The clistibution of two different types of MAO A and MAO B in the central nervous system could be selectively demonsated when the MAO A and MAO B were supressed by deprenyl and clorgyline, re-spectively. The relationship between concentation of tyranine or HRP in the medium and chomatic reaction was also discussed in the present study.
