Abstract:

Eight cases of bone tumor were examined by MRI, CT and plain film. 5 cases MRI showed low signal intensity on T1-WI and high signal intensity on T2-WI. 3 cases of MRI showed mixed signal intensity on T1 and T2-WI. CTand plain film both showed cortical thinning and destruction. These results shown that MRI was superior to CT and plain film in demonstrating areas of tissue inhomogeneity within the tumor as well as soft tissue extension. CT was superior in demonstrating cortical destraction and subtal reation.
