Abstract: To evaluate the effectiveness of heparin coated stents on acute/subacute stent thrombosis and late in stent restenosis, the stents were implanted in 32 target lesions of 28 patients with coronary artery disease. The procedural success rate was 100% without death. No acute/subacute stent thrombosis were observed after stenting. 5 patients suffered from recurrent angina during the 6~24 months follow up, 3(17.9%) had in stent restenosis confirmed by coronay angiography. The result showed that heparin coated stent was effective in preventing acute/subacute stent thrombosis, but it could not reduce late in stent resenosis rates.
