The Surgical Methods Applied to Patients with Inadequate Alveolar Bone for Dental Implant

Abstract: Dental implantation now sees a era when many patients with inadequate alveolar bone once excluded from its benefit can be indicated a implant-supporting prosthesis using several developed surgical methods. This article reviews such methods as following: 1)autogenous bone graft and biomaterial graft; 2)Guided bone regeneration (GBR) technique; 3)Distraction osteogenesis,DO; 4)Maxillary sinus lifting; 5)Nervus alveolaris mandibularis dissociation.
