Abstract:

Current fMRI study on the mechanism of acupuncture faces a few fundamental suspicions, among which reconsideration of the widely used methods in acupuncture bought about by acupuncture's sustained effects, the lack of a recognized legitimate placebo/control,and identification of the complicated characteristic and non-characteristic effects involved are prevailing ones.Specifically, this article primarily introduces the functional connectivity analysis method and the evolutionary reblocking method providing reasonable and reliable solutions to the ad mentioned problems and comes to some important conclusions: acupuncture point specification of acupuncture holds true and there do exists the baseline human network which helps to modulate pain.
