Clinical Study of the Effects of Fleabane on the Acute Cerebral Infarction

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the effects of fleabane in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods We studies the patients with acute cerebral infarction who were admitted to Beijing Tiantan Hospital from January 2005 to January 2008 and meet the criteria of study inclusion.The patients with ACI were divided into two groups randomly:With the base of primary treatment of cerebral infarction,the treatment group was given the other served as the placebo control group.Before and after 15 days of treatment,traditional Chinese medicine symptom rating scale(SRS) of the two groups were evaluated respectively,by comparing the score changes in these two groups.Results The difference between the two groups was significant(P<0.05) by traditional Chinese medicine symptom rating scale and traditional Chinese medicine stroke curative effect evaluation.Conclusion The efficacy of fleabane is better than that of control group for treating ACI.
