This review introduced laboratory diagnostic assays of EBV infection, and focused on clinical feature and diagnostic guidline of non-malignant diseases associated with EBV infection in children(including infectious mononucleosis, chronic active Epstein-Barr virus infection, EpsteinBarr virus-related hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis syndrome). Fields of these diseases needed further research were also introduced.
