Abstract: The Key Laboratory of Cardiovascular Remodeling Related Diseases of the Ministry of Education was founded in 2010 at the Department of Cardiology, Capital Medical University. The main laboratory is located at Beijing Institute of Heart, Lung and Blood Vessel Diseases. The Key Laboratory integrates both cardiovascular clinical and basic researches. It collaborates with several international research institutions to study the causes of cardiovascular diseases(such as coronary disease, heart failure and aortic aneurysms, etal.). The translational research is a main theme of the Key Laboratory, its research ranges from deep sequencing, early diagnosis, non-invasive imaging, and computer-based clinical training system for community-based genetic studies. Our mode of research will yield a new approach to prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. The Key Laboratory is established on the basis of both large number of cardiovascular disease patients and demand for extensive cardiovascular researches in Capital Medical University. The Key Laboratory will primarily focus on translational research which will not only promotes the cardiovascular health but also will lead to the era of personalized medicine for diseases related to cardiovascular remodeling.
