Abstract: For investigating the variation of lipids and thrombin activation in patients with diabetes, metabolism of lipids and marker of thrombin activation in 20 patients with diabetes and 20 normal subjects were observed. It was found that Ox-LDL, apoA and Lp(a)were significantly higher and PGA were significantly lower in diabetic group than in normal group, there were negative correlation between GHb and PAI. It was suggested that there were significantly abnormal metabolism of lipid and thrombin activation in patients with diabetes and diabetes is one of the important dangerous factor inducing atherosclerosis.

Key words: diabetes, metabolism of lipids, thrombin activation, atherosclerosis
