Abstract: The coodinates of the target point were determinated in the head of candate nucleus in 6 human corpses by the ventriculogram and the stereography techniques, they were 10 mm above and anterior to the interventricular foramen,on the lateral film.5 mm lateral to the mid-point at the lateral border of frontal horn of the brain ventricle,on the anterioposterior films. The depth of the target point were about 105mm. The experiments by 3 monkeys have evidenced that the selected operation passage to the target is safe and without damage to the adjacent important brain structures.
