Effects of Apocynum Extract on Haemodynamics in Anesthetized Open-chest Dogs

Abstract

Abstract: Administration of 10% Apocynum extract by iv.(2.0mL/kg,3.6mL/min) induced the significant reduction of BP(22.3%)which continued more than₇ minutes and related with a reduction of H.R.(r=0.83)and continued more than 30 min.The CO,CI,SI,LCF were decreased while decreasing blood pressure.The decrease of myocardic O₂ consumption were observed within 3 minutes after Apocynum extract administration.
