Abstract: A Biouminescence method was established for quantification of adhesion of Pseudomonas aeruginosa to polystyrene, some factors influencing the method were observed and the ratio o0f P.aeruginosa strains were compared by the established method. The results showed: 1,In bioluminescence reaction, there was a dose-dependent relationship between the amonnt of ATP of P.aeruginosa and the intensity of bioluminescence in the given concentration of luciferin/luciferase;2, In the adherent system of P.aeruginosa, the amount of the adherence of P.aeruginosa to polystyrenc increased with the amount of the bacteria and prolongation of incubation time and was affected by pH of PBS,the age of P.aeruginosa;3,The adherence ratio of P.aeruginosa was significantly different among different P.aeruginosa strains.
