Abstract: The NK and endogenous LAK activity and the numbers of NK cell were observed in 47 cancer patients and in 13 healthy volunteers. The results revealed that the levels of the three indications were significantly lower in the patients than in the normal controled group(P<0.001) and the decline were conspicuous in the patients with late stage cancer and distant metastases.Treatment by mycobacterial polysaccharides (MPS) for two weeks has enhanced the levels of these indications in the patients after operation.
