Abstract:

PCR was used to detect human papilloma virus (HPV) type 16, 18 in pathrological specimens from female lower genital tract and in semimal fluid and urine from their sexual partners. The results showed that the positive rate in female pathological specimen, seminal fluid and urine of their sexual partner's were 57.6%,57.6% and 18.1% for HPV16 and 30.3%,12.1 % and 3.0% for HPV18 respectively. The coincidence rate for HPV16 and HPV18 in female pathological tissues and seminal fluid were 73.6% and 30% repectively. Our results proved that when females are infected with HPV,their sexual partners may have high probability to have an insidious infections, indicating the possibility of seminal transmission of HPV.Our results provide important significance for epidemiological study on HPV infection and for prophylaxis and early treatment.
