Abstract: The concentration of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP), plasma renin activity (PRA) and angiotensin Ⅱ (Ang Ⅱ) were measured in 40 patients with acute myocardial infarction at the time of admission, and the first 2, 24, 72 hours and one week after venous thrombolysis.20 normal subjects were control. It was found that ANP, PRA and Ang Ⅱ were significantly higher at admission in patients with AMI when compared to normal controls, and reached peak value at the first 2 hours after thrombolysis.ANP was significantly higher at the first 2 hours after thrombolysis than at admission in 28 patients with reperfusion, and there was no difference in 14 patients without reperfusion. There were no differences among different cardiac function and different region of infarction in patients with AMI in plasma ANP level.
