The Chest Manifestations in the Patients with Lymphoma

Abstract: The study the characteristics of lymphoma of the respiratory system may avoid misdiagnosis and incorrect treatment. The authors analysied 50 cases of lymphoma with respiratory tract symptoms, abnormal changes in the chest roentgenogram and CT. 13 of the 50 cases firstly suffered from the respiratory tract symptoms, 30 cases had abnormality in the chest roentgenogram, 9 cases had abnormality in the chest CT. It was manifested as pleural effusion, mediastinum distention, lung nodules on X ray and CT. The radiological changes in the chest affected by lymphoma were non specific and needed to be differentiated from other chest diseases. CT might accurately show distention imaging of hilum and mediastinal lymph nodes. The cases of bilateral pleurel effusion with mediastinal distention or pericardial effusion with poor prognosis were over 63.3% which should be diagnosed and treated at the early stage.
