Abstract: To investigate circadian changes of 24 h ambullatory blood pressure after acute myocardial infarction, 42 patients were studied by mearsuring 24 h ambullatory blood pressure and heart rate variability(HRV). The results were that the frequency of disappeared circadian rhythm was 83.33 %(35/42), and that the HRV was decreased in patients with no-dipper, compared with normal controls. The physiological, pathophysiological and clinical effect is to be further studied.

Key words: acute myocardial infarction, 24 h ambullatory blood pressure
