Related Factors for Low-Born-Weight Infants

Abstract: The aim was to investigate t he related factors between low-born-weight infants and pregnant women. The cli nical data of 215 low-born-weight infants were analyzed retrospectiv ely in our hospital during 1988-1997. The rate of incidence was 1.60% with lo w-born -weight infants during ten years, with a gradual decrease and was re lated to education level, gestational age, and pregnancy complications of preg nant women. Strengthening prenatal care and management, especially for those with high risk pregnancies are necessary. The incidence of low-born-weight and t he perinatal mortality should be controlled.
