Abstract: By means of experiment, the affect of the tissue components purified from earthworm on the mitogenic activity of fibroblast was studied to investigate its pharmic mechanism in the wound healing. In the experiments, using acetate buffer the tissues components were purified from the earthworm, which was crude extract.A group of proteins were obtained from the crude extract of the earthworm through ammonium sulfate precipitation, ion exchange chromatography and gel filtration chromatography. The effect of the group of proteins on the mitogenic activity of fibroblast was investigated with MTT method. It was illustrated that the group of proteins of mitogenic activity was on the first peak of Sephadex-G100, and presented three bands in SDS polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The range of their molecular weighs were 57 000, 72 000, 87 000.It can be drawn that there are some kind of proteins in the tissue components of the earthworm that has mitogenic activity of fibroblast.
