Clinical Evaluation of Neuronavigation for the Treatment of Anterior Cerebral Artery Aneurysms

Abstract: Objective To explore the value and safety of neuronavigation used in the surgery for anterior cerebral artery aneurysms.Methods A retrospective review of 12 patients with anterior cerebral artery aneurysms underwent neurosurgical operation under the guidance of an image-guided system by Sofamor-Danek company was made.Results There were no postoperative neurological complications. No operative death occurred. The aneurysms and the important anatomic structures were accurately located.Conclusion The neuronavigation system is very helpful for anterior cerebral artery aneurysms surgery. Its accuracy of location is very important in protecting normal brain tissues.
