Abstract:

Objective To study the trend of CD200 expression in different stages of squamous cell carcinoma. Methods To collect specimens of normal skin, actinic keratosis, Bowen's disease, squamous cell carcinoma and invasion squamous cell carcinoma and to detect the expression of CD200 by immunohistochemical method. Results Compared with normal skin, a significant increase is found in CD200 expression in actinic keratosis, Bowen's disease, squamous cell carcinoma and invasion squamous cell carcinoma(P<0.01). Compared with actinic keratosis and Bowen's disease, a significant increase is found in CD200 expression in squamous cell carcinoma and invasion squamous cell carcinoma(P<0.01). Conclusion High expression of CD200 may promote progression of squamous cell carcinoma.

Key words: CD200, skin, squamous cell carcinoma, Bowen’s disease, actinic keratosis
