Abstract: The concentrations of zinc and copper in serum were measured by ato-mic absorption spectrophotometry in 42 health adult dogs. The mean values Were 14.8±2.0m.nol/L and 13.6±2.7mmol/L respectively. Liver zinc and co-pper were measured in 29 health dogs, and the mean values were 2.4±0.4 mmol/g d. w. and 2.8±1.0mmol/g d. w. respectively. There was no significant difference between the two sexual groups in serum and liver zinc and copper values. In normal fed dogs, there were little changes in serum zinc and co-pper. As feeding large amount of zinc, the level of serum and liver zinc elevated quickly and serum copper decreased simultaneously, while the li-ver copper remained unchange.
