Abstract: Immunohistochemical demonstration of placental hormones and pregnancy specific β-1-glycoprotein of villus is a usful tool in the differentiation of normal pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy. There were 57 samples in the study. We did not find chorionic villus in all endometrium curetting or spontaneously passed tissue. Using specific antiserum we detected human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), (human) placental lactogen (HPL) and pregnancy specific β-1-glycoprotein (PSI) in the trophoblast of villus. The 18 of normal pregnancy specimens were marked with HCG, HPL and PSI. The other 37 specimens which were ectopic pregnancy were not marked. Therefore, we concluded that the use of these hormones marks in endometrium specimens significatly increased the precision of the diagnosis for the ectopic pregnancy.
