Abstract: Human embryinic lung diploid fibroblasts were used as an in vitro model for anti-ageing research in this experiment, When the cells were subcultured 25 times they were divided into two groups, group I supplemented with Poris Cocos- Royal Jelly, and group Ⅱ cultured normally as a control. The two groups were subcultured at regular intervals until the cell ceased proliferationg. If no proliferation can be found after two weeks, the cells were considered to have come to the end of their lives. The results showed that the cells of group I were subcultured for 65 population doublings, While the cells of group Ⅱ only for 55 population doublings Therefore, Poris Cocos-Royal Jelly had increased the life span of the cultureby 18%. It was shown that Poris Cocos-Royal Jelly has some anti-aging effect on the diploid fibroblasts of human embryonic lung.
