Abstract: Fetal umbilical artery flow velocity systolic/diastolic amplitude ratio(S/D) and resistant index (RI) were measured by pulse Doppler technique in normal pregnancies (n=40) and (PIH) women (n=40).The results showed that 6/40 PIH cases had S/D ratio≥3 (ince-dence 15%); 7/4.(17.5%) with neonatal complications and 3/40(7.5%) with IUGR neonates. This method seems to be useful for fetal outcome predicting in high-risk pregnan-cy.
