Abstract: To compare the clinical effect rest 99mTc-MIBI myocardial tomography with that folling intravenous infusion of nitroglycerin(NTG)in assessing myocardial viability. Rest99mTc-MIBI myocardial tomograthy imagings were performed in 57 patients with myocardial infarction. There were 207(40.4%, of 513)segments of hypoperfusion in the rest imagings of the 57 patients. The improvements of perfusion after NTG infusions were revealed to be in 75(36.2%)of the 207 segments. Combination of rest 99mTc-MIBI myocardial tomography imaging with intravenous NTG infusion could efficiently detect the residual survival myocardium in the patient with myocardial infarction.
