Abstract: The aim was to explore the relationship between left ventricular remolding (LVR) and indexes of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring in patients with essential hypertension. 431 patients with essential hypertension were divided into 4 groups based on Ganau criteria. Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring underwent in all patients. The indexes of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring were determined with the use of analysis of F statistics among 4 groups. There were differences in the indexes of systolic pressure among groups. However, the indexes of diastolic pressure except diastolic pressure at night were similar in all groups. Indexes of systolic pressure of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring are crisis factors in left ventricular remolding.

Key words: essential hypertension, left ventricle remolding, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring
