Clinical features for cesarean scar pregnancy of first trimester: a retrospective case-control study

Abstract: Objective To study the clinical features of cesarean scar pregnancy(CSP)of first trimester. Methods Study group 206 CSP patients of first trimester diagnosed during the defined time span 2014-2016, were compared with a randomly selected control group of 412 patients according to 1:2 ratio. The clinical data of study and control group were compared.Results Clinical features highly correlated with CSP were:① vaginal bleeding (OR:10.38; 95%CI:6.59-16.35); ②abdominal pain (OR:3.91; 95%CI:1.74-8.81); ③uterine tenderness (OR:2.38; 95%CI:1.49-3.82). Conclusion For pregnant women with a history of cesarean section, vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain and uterine tenderness of first trimester maybe the signal of CSP and need to make caution, especially vaginal bleeding.
