Abstract: Characteristics of acute inferior wall myocardial infarction were analysed in 120 patients. The results showed that the diseased right coronary artery related highly to the acute inferior myocardial infarction, while the proximal lesion of right coronary artery related highly to the right ventricular involvement. In term of the electrocardiographic features, the case with anterior ST segment elevation frequently associated with right ventricular infarction (42.9%,12/28)and that with anterior ST segment depression frequently with lateral posterior wall infarction (54.9%,28/51).The results also showed that cases with right ventricular and/or lateral posterior wall infarction were apt to have a worse prognosis.
