Yichuanping Suppresses Expression of IL-4 and IL-5 in the Lung Tissue of Allergic Mouse

Abstract

Abstract: In order to investigate the mechanism how Yichuanping (a Chinese herb agent) treat asthma and allergy,the expression of IL-4 and IL-5 in the lung tissue of allergic mouse were observed . The result showed that the expression of IL-4 mRNA⁺ cell and IL-5 mRNA⁺ cells was lower in Yichnanping group (29.2±7.1,39.1±10.5) than in OVAgroup (46.4±8.9,64.8±13.7). The result indicated that Yichuanping can suppress the expression of IL-4 mRNA⁺ and IL-5 mRNA⁺ cells in the lung tissue of allergic mouse,suggesting it may be beneficial for treating asthma.
