For efficent expression of the tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) gene, the molecular cloning was used to construct a vector containing the TH gene and a promoter,the herpes simplex virus type Ⅰ-thymidine kinase (HSV1-TK).The promoter was from the plasmid,pHSV-106 and the TH gene from the plasmid PKSTH.The newly reconstructed plasmid PHSV1TH was identified by analysis of restriction endonuclease and \.The results indicated that the HSV1-TH plasmid would be a useful tool for gene therapy of Parkinson' s disease.

The ankle joint radiograph of children and adults were taken from antero-posterior and lateral aspect before and after water ingection, respectively.Then we can find the imaging change in the joint capsule and peripheral soft tissues when joint is normal or with hydrops by comparing the radiography with general anatomy.It's obvious that: ①The antero-posterior and lateral radiograph to normal ankle joint reveals the width of articular cavity which have no difference in children and adults.②When there are 10 mL hydrops in ankle joint of adults,we can find the watery dense shadow of joint capsule extend forward on the trochlear of talus at the anterior region of the lateral radiograph.As the injection dose increasing the shadow will be more apparent.③When there are 10 mL hydrops in children's ankle joint,the enlarged joint capsule will protrude posteriorly because of the nondeveloped fat pad.So we can find the watery dense shadow on the posterior region of the lateral rediograph.④Both of the width of the articular cavity will broader as the dose close increasing.When the hydrops come to be 25 mL,we can find the shadow of the joint capsule on the inferior of the medial malleolus on medial region,as well as the inferior of the lateral malleolus on lateral region of the antero-posterior radiograph.

The Analysis of c-fos and c-jun Oncogenes Expression in Different Phases of NIH3T3 Cell Cycle Progression

NIH3T3 cells' total RNA was extracted at various lengths of time after the cells were induced to re-enter the cell cycle from quesent stage by serum stimulation and at G₁,S,G₂ and M phases synchronized by double thymidine block and colcemid block.These samples were then analyzed by dot hybridization to determine the levels of c-fos and c-jun mRNA.Our results show that the peaks of c-fos and c-jun mRNA accumulation were found at 1 h after serum stimulation.Besides,it shows a second c-jun mRNA accumulation peak at 16h after serum stimulation.For the continuous growing cells,c-fos was found to be in low expression in every phases of cell cycle,whereas c-jun was found to have a high level of expression in S phase.These results suggest that in addition to the associated function of c-fos and c-jun in cells which are entering cell cycle,c-jun protein may play a unique role in G₁/S phase which does not need c-fos protein to cooperate with.

The protective action on the treatment of erythrocyte membranes with O₂^·- and scavenger action on the·OH of the hawthorn leaves tea aqueous extracts were studied in vitro.The result show,that aqueous extracts could significantly inhibit the lipid peroxidation and maintain the normal fluidity of membranes by O₂^·- generation system.The aqueous extaracts possessed significantly scavening effects on hydroxyl radical produced by Fenton reaction and inhibit the rate of·OH generation.The experimental results demanstrated that the hawthorn leaves tea aqueous extracts have a cytoprotective effect on erythrocyte membranes and scavenger action on·OH.

Single reagent chromometric analysis for the measurement of serum sialic acid (SSA) levels has been used.This test has been applied to human sera of which came from normal in dividuals and patients with lung cancer, pneumonia and pulmonary tuberculosis.Track observing result of the level from 41 patients with lung cancer before and after treatment is especially interesting.It' s demonstrated that: ① SSA concentrations were found to be very significantly increased (P<0.01) in the group of lung cancer patients as compared to those of normal groups.There is a significant difference between SSA levels in the group with lung cancer and both those with pneumonia and pulmonary tuberculosis also (P<0.05).②SSA levels were found to be increased in both groups of pneumonia and pulmonary tuberculosis patients comparing with those of normal groups (P<0.05),but it' s not so obviously as those with lung cancer.③ With the remission by the surgery and chemotherapy,SSA levels were found to be reduced obviously(P<0.01) in 30 patients with lung cancer as compared to those before treatment.The other 11 patients were determination after treatment.Their SSA concentrations became higher obviously than those before treatment (P<0.01).Here we show that determination of SSA has important value for diagnosis of lung cancer.

A treatment of urapidil for 30 old patients with congestive heart failure was studied for 1 -2 weeks.Once a day every patient was given urapidil 50 mg added into 500 mL solution at the rate of 100 μg/min by intravenous way.The results showed :there was a significant decrease in the SBP,DBP,HR,and HR×SBP respectively (P<0.001, <0.05,<0.01,<0.01 )while the LVEF was significantly increased.The clinical effetivity was 90%.It suggested that urapidil is a safe effective vasodilative agant for old patients with congestive heart failure.

gastric ulcer patients were investigated.It was shown that the rate of gastric ulcer in the elderly was 7.92% and in the non-elderly was 6.16%.The difference was statistically significant (P<0.01 ).The prevalences of non-abdominal pain,anoxexia,emaciation and hemorrhage in elderly cases were all much higher than those in controls.Comparision of ulcer size and site for two groups was shown much different either.Otherwise,the presence of HP infection was significantly higher in the elderly than in the controls.Based on these data,we concluded that the elderly patients with gastric ulcer had some special characters compared with non-elderly adults.HP infection may be a cause of high rate of gastric ulcer in the elderly.Therefore,it was required that some antibiotics be given to eradicate HP in treatment.

Fifty cases of patients with acute severe infection (24 cases with DIC and 26 cases with out DIC) were studied and prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT),fibrinogen(Fg) concentration,platelet (PLT) count,anti-thrombin Ⅲ (AT-Ⅲ) activity,plasminogen (PLG) activity, α₂-antiplasmin (α₂AP) activity,D-Dimer concentration in plasma were examined.The results suggested that DIC was the important causes for the pathogenesis and development of MSOF.The single detection data of Fg had no more diagnostic importance in infectious DIC, PT,APTT,Plt, AT-Ⅲ, PLG, α₂-AP, D-Dimer were all helpfull laboratory parameters for diagnosing DIC.The diagnostic rate of DIC by using a single parameter was less than 80 percent, the diagnostic rate of DIC by using combined multiple parameters was more than 90 percent.

The sonographies of 181 patients with galdbladder stone were classified and compared to the pathological findings of postoperations in this study.The results indicated that the comfirmation rates between echodiagnosis and operation were 99.45%.The sonographies can be divided into four types,of which type I was most corresponding to the operative diagnosis.These results may be used a guidance for the to the selection of clinical therapeutic protocols.

We assayed HPV-Ag and HPVDNA using immunohistochemical stain and PCR amplification respectively in 51 laryngopharyngeal epithelial hyperplastic lesions and correlated these findinfg with histological changes.The group consists of 37 laryngopharyngeal papillomatous lesions, 14 squamous carcinoma of the larynx.We reclassfied into 3 subgroups : 9 cases of condyloma acuminata like lesion, 18 cases of notype condyloma acuminata like lesion,and 10 cases of squamous cell papillomas.In the subgroup of condyloma acuminata like lesion, the incidence of HPV-Ag positive immunohistochemical stain was 33% while,it is 0% in the other two subgroups.In the first two subgroups the HPV-DNA by PCR amplification was manifested in 100% cases, but it was detected only in 10% in the third subgroup.14 squamous carcinoma of the larynx was composed of 4 verrucous carcinoma and 10 well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma.The HPVAg was detected immunohistochemically in 10%(1/10) of well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma while it was 0% in verrucous carcinoma.In addition to this findings.HPV-DNA was detected in 50% (2/4) of verrucous carcinoma and 30% (3/10) of well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma.Our results suggestedthat the development of some subgroups of the laryngopharyngeal epithelial hyperplastic lesions was related to the infection of HPV.We put foward of the condyloma acuminate of the larynx is a pathological entity.We believe PCR amplification is the most sensitive technique for detection of HPV.
